Today, increasingly more people get some degree online,
following distance course lessons. There are many reasons why people choose
online degrees; the need for additional education, the lack of time, the
inability to commit to on campus courses are just a few of them.

schedules and frantic rhythms that characterize people's lives in the US do not
allow them to follow normal courses in Universities, enhancing the role and

In almost all fields except for legal, the path to earning a degree is pretty
much straightforward. When it comes to law, though, things are somewhat
different, due to the limitations and restrictions imposed by the American Bar
Association. The ABA sets the rules for 49 of 50 States in the US. According to
those rules people who obtain online degrees, even from accredited universities
cannot take the bar exam so as to obtain their license.
The only exception is California; if you earn an international law degree online
from a University approved by the State of California Bar Committee then you can
practice law, provided that you pass the bar exam in the State. After practicing
law in California for 5-7 years you can take the bar exam in other states as
well.
In any case, if you are opting for an international law degree online you should
be aware of a few things. First of all you need to apply to an accredited school

to enroll to one of their programs. Beware of international colleges though
because not all courses might be recognized by domestic Bars.
